DARE TO GO DIGITAL IN 2024

Digital marketing is a key element in business and is the future of how we market our Real Estate and Property Management businesses. In today’s digital landscape, having a robust online presence is paramount for any business. While social media plays a significant role, it’s crucial to understand that it’s not the sole driver of website traffic. Rather, it serves as a virtual storefront, a place where potential customers can validate your legitimacy and engage with your brand.

Together with Nicki Sciberras, an SEO Strategist and Coach, we will share our insights on how Digital marketing create a huge impact in this year.

With over a decade of experience in the property management industry, I’ve overseen thousands of residential properties, handling everything from tenant relations to financial management. But after years of dedication to the field, I realised that my expertise extended beyond just day-to-day operations.

As property managers, we possess a wealth of knowledge about real estate that goes beyond the surface. We understand the intricacies of the industry like the back of our hands. But have you ever thought about leveraging that expertise into something more? That’s precisely what I did!

I realised that my skills and knowledge could be transformed into an online business or side hustle. Whether it’s property management, flower arranging, cooking, or fitness programs, any skill you excel at can be leveraged to build an online presence. And so, my journey into the world of online entrepreneurship began.

Transitioning from being an employee to an entrepreneur was no easy feat. I faced doubts, uncertainties, and plenty of late nights strategizing and learning about the online world. But armed with determination and a burning desire to help others, I took the plunge.

I recognised that many property managers and business owners were grappling with the same challenges I had faced. They lacked systems, processes, and marketing strategies. I started by offering free resources, training workshops, and consulting services to help them navigate the complexities of property management

Diversifying your approach beyond social media is crucial. One often overlooked tactic is optimising your Google Business profile. This simple yet effective step can significantly improve your local search rankings and capture valuable local traffic. Additionally, gathering testimonials for your profile can enhance your credibility and further boost your visibility.

Posting regularly on social media is essential for maintaining brand awareness and engaging with your audience. While it may not directly drive traffic to your website, it nurtures your audience and reinforces your brand presence. Engaging with complementary businesses in your area, such as solicitors, accountants, or mortgage brokers, can also expand your reach and attract potential clients.

Creating profiles on online directories is another effective way to increase visibility and attract traffic. Each mention of your business online contributes to building authority with search engines like Google, ultimately driving more traffic to your website.

However, driving traffic is only half the battle. Ensuring your website is optimised to convert visitors into leads is equally important. Conducting simple tests, like the three-second test, can help ensure your website effectively communicates your offerings and target audience within seconds of landing on the page. Additionally, optimising for mobile devices and providing clear calls to action can further enhance your website’s effectiveness.

Once you’ve optimised your website and established a steady flow of traffic, you can consider paid advertising to further boost your brand awareness. Platforms like Meta (formerly Facebook) and Google Ads offer powerful targeting options to reach your ideal audience. While both platforms have their advantages, Meta ads are often more cost-effective for building brand awareness, particularly in industries like real estate.

When it comes to running ads, utilizing the Ads Manager provides greater control and flexibility compared to simply boosting posts. With the Ads Manager, you can test different ad creatives, audiences, and messaging to optimise your campaigns for better results.

Investing in digital products and courses can also provide valuable insights and guidance for optimising your online presence. Programs like SEO workshops and Meta ads training can empower you to take control of your digital marketing efforts and achieve better results.

In conclusion, while social media is an essential component of your online strategy, it’s essential to explore other avenues for maximizing your online presence. By diversifying your approach and optimising your website for conversions, you can attract more traffic, nurture leads, and ultimately drive business growth.
